Beauty from Within: The
Defining Feature
I often say at the end of my
“VeronicasCorner” videos “Stay Beautiful Inside & Out.” I think we all have
encountered someone that was beautiful on the outside but had poor character on
the inside. I don’t know about you but when I meet people with poor character
it severely discounts anything cute they have going on externally. So although
fashion and external beauty topics are really fun, the real defining feature of
a woman is her inner beauty and that inner beauty comes from embodying virtuous
characteristics.
Proverbs 31: 10-31 talks
about the attributes of a virtuous wife and describes her as being worth far
above rubies. Some of the characteristics of a virtuous woman include being
upright, chaste, and loving. One of the scriptures that helps me in my love
walk with people is 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. This passage tells us that “love
suffers long and is kind, does not envy, does not parade itself, is not puffed
up, does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks
no evil, does not rejoice in iniquity but rejoices in the truth, bears
all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.”
Although this passage is
used often in weddings, it really breaks down characteristics that we should
all aspire to practice as part of our daily beauty regimen. Only then will we truly
be beautiful inside and out. ;)
Love you all,
Veronica
